Step 4

And there you have it! Your new password has been created.

To log in, you can use that username or the email address linked to your account.

You can deposit funds to your Espacejeux account from the standard website, from the mobile site or from the Mise-o-jeu mobile application:

You can deposit money in your account four ways:

  1. Visa or Mastercard credit cards, Visa Debit and Debit Mastercard
    ◦ For reasons beyond our control, we’re unable to accept prepaid, corporate and American credit cards (e.g. MBNA and Capital One).

    ◦ For Visa and Mastercard credit cards, your financial institution may charge cash advance fees, depending on their policies. This is out of our hands. Policies vary from one institution to another. Please contact your financial institution for more information.

    ◦ Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit cards allow you to withdraw money directly from your bank account, just like with an Interac card. Look for the Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit logo on your debit card.
  2. Interac Online
    ◦ TD and RBC are the only banks that offer this service.
  3. With an Argent Web ticket
    ◦ Available at lottery retailers
  4. Bill payment
    ◦ Sign in to your personal online banking portal and make an online payment, just like you would a utility bill. To do this, you’ll need to add “Espacejeux” as a payee. You’ll find your account number in the Account Details section.
    ◦ Please note that it can take three to five business days for funds to show as posted in your Espacejeux account (the usual processing time for bill payments).

You can only do this by logging in to our gaming website. You must first save your personal banking information, then enter the amount you want to withdraw in the Withdrawals section. The amount will then be transferred to your bank account. If you still haven’t entered your banking information, please read our answer to the “How do I save, edit or delete my bank account information in order to make a withdrawal from my Espacejeux account?” question. It’ll tell you what to do.

We offer several tools to help you develop good gambling habits.

  • You’re able to set a limit related to:
    o Deposits (required)
    o Time (optional)
    o Losses (optional)
  • We allow you to take breaks from gambling for however long you choose.
  • We offer a self-exclusion program, which bars you from accessing your account for however long you choose.
  • We offer a game reminder after every hour, allowing you to see how much time you’ve spent on the website and how much money you’ve gambled.
  • We’ve added “Your Best Bet,” a new tab on our website.
  • We allow you to view your account history to see the financial and gambling transactions you’ve made in previous months (your withdrawals, deposits, winnings, wagers, etc.).

To create an account, in addition to your personal information, you’ll need:

  1. Your email address
As you’ll use your email address to access your account, you shouldn’t share it with anyone else.
  2. Your credit card or two pieces of identification
We’ll use this to confirm your identity and make sure you’re at least 18 years old, among other requirements.

You should know
It should only take us about 10 minutes to collect all the information we need to open your account.

Further information
Rest assured that all the information you give us will remain confidential, in accordance with our Policy concerning privacy and the protection of personal information. We won’t keep your credit card number on file unless you specifically request us to do so.

To find out whether you’ve already created an account, try to register for one.

On the first page, when you enter your email address and click on “Next,” we will check. If that email address is already in our database, you’ll receive a message notifying you that it was recognized. You’ll then be asked to recover your password in order to log in to your account.

If you normally use more than one email address, you can go back to the previous screen and try each address. If the message doesn’t appear, it means that no account is linked to the addresses you tried.

If you received this message, two things may have happened.

  1. If you share your email address with someone else, that person may have used the same address to open an account. In that case, you’ll need to try again with another email address that belongs to you.
  2. Even if you don’t think you created an account, you may have started the account registration process or opened an account with that email address a long time ago (it’s impossible to remember everything!). You may have entered a 2nd Chance promotion, such as the Célébration promotion. To find out, try to recover your password with the same email address. If it’s linked to an account, you’ll get an email asking you to reset your password.

If neither of these options works call us at 1-866-611-5686. We’ll be happy to help you.

Important: Don’t attempt to open another account with new information. We only allow one account per person.

We must confirm that all our customers are 18 years of age or older and that they reside in Québec.

Loto-Québec must ensure that its games are accessible only to persons 18 years of age or older who reside in Québec (due to applicable regulations).

It’s easy! At any time, you can add games from the following sections to your favourites:

Slot Machines
Games

From the game’s information page, just click on the star to add it to your favourites.

The star will turn black.

Afterwards, to access your favourite games, just select “Favourites” from the menu while you’re still logged in to your account. You’ll also find them on the homepage in the “Recommended for you” section.

The games on the website are grouped by category: Slot Machines, Progressive Jackpots, Keno, etc. You can see all the games in a category by clicking on “See all” to the right of the category name.

On the pages for each category, you can also search for a game by entering its name in the search bar.

Games are grouped by category, which you can explore by browsing the website’s main pages. When you click on “See all” next to a game category, all of the games in that category will be displayed.

On each game’s information sheet, similar games are suggested in the right-hand column. You’ll also find key words under “Features,” which you can click on to see games with the same features.

You can try out most of the online casino games, except Live Casino games. This will give you a chance to get acquainted with the game. Simply click the “Try out” button on the selected page to access the demo mode.

We offer a wide range of casino games online. In our Live Casino section, you can play blackjack, roulette, live games, baccarat and dice games with a host. In the Slot Machines section, you can choose from a number of game mechanics with a range of themes.

In the Games section, you’ll find roulette, blackjack, baccarat and card games, as well as keno.

When you click on the image or name of a game on any page of the website, it will take you to the information sheet for that game. The information sheet contains a description, an overview and the rules of the game.

We’ll be able to create your account if:

  • You’re 18 or older
  • You’re a Québec resident
  • You’re physically in Québec right now
  • You aren’t enrolled in the self-exclusion program that bars you from Québec casinos and gaming halls and/or lotoquebec.com (the website you’re currently on!)

No. Having a credit card makes the identity confirmation process faster, but you can also confirm your identity by uploading other ID documents (we will give you all the info you need when you get to that step).

No. An account must be associated with a single individual because we need to verify the identity of that person. For example, a couple can’t create a single account.

You should also ensure that no one else knows your login information (you’re responsible for it, so keep it to yourself!).

You should know
When we name a winner, we award the prize to the account holder, not the person who was playing at the time the prize was won.

No. Even if several offers for new customers are presented on our website, you may only avail of one offer when you register for an account.

You can register for an account once you turn 18, not before.
Come back after you’ve reached the age of majority and we’ll be happy to sign you up!

To be considered a resident of Québec, you must have a permanent address in Québec, reside there and be able to prove as such. You’ll need a document that displays your full name and address, such as a driver’s licence or utility bill.

If you’re not a permanent resident of Québec, you can still register for an account as long as you have an address in Québec.

To find out whether you’ve already created an account, try to register for one.

Yes, this isn’t the time to use a funny pseudonym or a childhood nickname! We need to confirm that the information you provide matches your credit card and ID documents. Since this verification process is done electronically, your information must be entered the same way everywhere.

Your phone number is useful for several reasons, such as:

  • To confirm your identity if you call us.
  • To follow up on your file after we speak to you on the phone.
  • To contact you if you win a major prize (in a game or as part of a promotion, for example).

You should know
If we need to contact you by phone, our calls are completely confidential and we don’t leave messages.

If you received this message, two things may have happened.

  1. If you share your email address with someone else, that person may have used the same address to open an account. In that case, you’ll need to try again with another email address that belongs to you.

Yes! The security question is used to protect your account if you forget your password. You can change the question and its answer on the Account details page of your account.

Because we’re required to! Online gaming is subject to the regulatory requirements of the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC). These requirements oblige us to keep the current identity information of lotoquebec.com players on file, including their occupation (but rest assured, we’ll be happy to have you as one of our customers, whatever your occupation may be!).

You should know
We don’t use this information for marketing purposes.

Select the occupation that most closely resembles your own. Tip: enter the first few letters of your occupation to see if it’s included in the drop-down list.

Are you a minister? Is your mother a U.S. or Canadian ambassador? Does your brother do business with the mayor of Quebec City? If you’re in a similar situation, read the following carefully.

In summary
A politically exposed person (PEP) or the head of an international organization (HIO) is a person entrusted with a prominent position that typically comes with the opportunity to influence decisions and the ability to control resources. The influence and control a PEP or HIO has put them in a position to impact policy decisions, institutions and rules or procedure in the allocation of resources and finances, which can make them vulnerable to corruption.

Further information

We must confirm that all our customers are 18 years of age or older and that they reside in Québec.

Loto-Québec must ensure that its games are accessible only to persons 18 years of age or older who reside in Québec (due to applicable regulations).

We check your information with the Canadian credit agency Equifax. Together, we confirm that the information you entered when you registered for an account (your full name, address and date of birth) matches the information in your credit file (Equifax).

When you use your credit card to confirm your identity, Equifax immediately traces it to your credit file and confirms to us whether the information matches.

You should know
We don’t check or influence your credit rating. We only verify your information.

When you enter your credit card information on our website, it’s sent securely to the Canadian credit agency Equifax, which is able to confirm immediately whether it’s identical to the information on your credit file.

Because it’s instantaneous, your account registration will be approved on the spot (or immediately declined, if the information you entered on our website doesn’t match your credit card information).

If you choose to send us ID documents, our customer relations team will receive them and will process your request by submitting the documents to Equifax on your behalf, confidentially and securely. This explains the longer delay.

If you enter a mailing address that is different from your credit card address (e.g. your cottage or work address), Canadian credit agency Equifax’s verification process may not work (the information you entered when you registered for an account will not match your credit card information). You’ll need to send us ID documents proving that you live at the address that you entered when you registered for an account.

You should know
As a security measure and to prevent fraud, we’ll send you a confidential letter to the address provided to confirm that you have opened an account.

Yes. However, a PO box is not considered a valid or legitimate address because post office boxes are assigned to customers by the post office so they can receive their mail. You must therefore enter the civic number and the name of the street where you live so that we can confirm your identity.

Here are some examples to help guide you:

  • Health insurance card and utility bill (electricity bill, home phone or cell phone bill, Internet bill, etc.)
  • Passport and utility bill (electricity bill, home phone or cell phone bill, Internet bill, etc.)
  • Health insurance card and driver’s licence
  • Passport and driver’s licence
  • Health insurance card and insurance document (home insurance, car insurance, life insurance)

Please note: Credit card and bank account statements are not accepted.

To confirm your identity, we need up-to-date documents with your current address. We suggest that you update this information with the relevant organizations and provide us with proof as soon as possible. At that point, we’ll be able to process your application.

First, locate the two documents you wish to submit. Then, make digital copies of them using one of the following methods:

  • Take a clear and legible photo of each document with your mobile phone or tablet.
  • Scan each document.

Once you’ve performed this step, you’ll be able to upload your ID documents to our website to complete your account registration.

You should know
If you lose your Internet connection while preparing your documents, don’t worry! Any information you’ve entered will be saved. Simply log back into your account (through the lotoquebec.com home page) and continue. You won’t lose anything, we promise!

When you register for an account, you need to upload two ID documents to our website: a document with your name and date of birth and a document with your name and address.

Once you’ve chosen the documents that you want to upload, take a clear picture of each one with your smartphone or tablet, or scan them.

Be sure to save them in an acceptable format (PDF, JPG, PNG, JPEG and PJPEG).

Then follow the steps on screen and you’ll be all set!

Once we’ve confirmed your identity, we’ll send you an email notifying you that your account is open.

Here are the detailed steps for uploading documents:

Instructions if using a computer [PDF, 308 KB]
Instructions if using a smartphone [PDF, 289 KB]

If your ID document doesn’t appear in the list of files available to upload, it hasn’t been saved in an acceptable format. Here are the acceptable formats:

  • PDF
  • JPG
  • PNG
  • JPEG
  • PJPEG

Once it has been saved in one of these formats, your document will appear in the list of choices.

Visit the promotion page and follow the steps outlined there. It’s as easy as that!

You must be a Québec resident to enter our 2nd Chance promotions. Your address allows us to verify that you’re eligible.

We found you in our system based on the information you provided.

You are trying to register with an email address that is different from the one we have. There are two possible explanations:

  • Either you already participated in a 2nd Chance Promotion in the past
  • Or you already have an Espacejeux account with us (for example, to purchase a lottery ticket)

The next time you take part in a 2nd Chance Promotion, you will need to log in using the email address that you had used at that time. If you are unable to log in, please call us at any time, at 1-866-611-5686.

Follow the steps below.

Step 1
Click on “Forgot your password?” in the log-in window on our website.

Step 2
Enter the email address that’s associated with your account and click on “Submit.”

Step 3
You should have received an email containing a link to reset your password. Click on the link.
Don’t see an email from us?
- Make sure to check the right email inbox. The email was sent the link to the same email address as in your Espacejeux account.
- Check your spam folder in case the email was redirected.

Step 4
Fill in the fields with the requested information. Answer the security question, then enter your new password.

Important: Your password must be between 8 and 25 characters long, and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number (but no spaces or accents).

Click on Submit.

And there you have it! Your new password has been created.

The password may contain the following special characters: @ # \/ $ % ? & * ( ) \ - _ + = < > . , ' : ; "

To log in, you can use that username or the email address linked to your account.

It’s easy! Once you’re logged in, click on the My Espacejeux icon, then on Account Details.

You can then edit your contact information. Don’t forget to save your changes before logging out by clicking on Confirm at the bottom of the page.

Click on the Espacejeux account icon, then Account Details. In the Personal Information section, pick another security question, and enter your answer. Next, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Save.

Although you selected your security question and provided an answer to that question, for privacy reasons, the question you chose and the answer you provided won’t appear in your account.

You must be a Québec resident to play on lotoquebec.com. If you move outside of the province, you’ll have to close your account.
You don’t have to notify us when you close your account. Just go to the Account Details page of your Espacejeux account and click the “Close My Account” button at the bottom of the page.

If you move to Ontario or British Columbia, you can sign up for that province’s gaming website. Visit Ontario’s gaming website or British Columbia’s gaming website.

Note that certain games are connected with both provinces and Québec:

  • Slot games: the Powerbucks™ and MegaJackpots™ progressive jackpots
  • Poker: the same network of players.

Yes, most of our games can be played on your phone or tablet (if a game cannot be played on your device, you’ll be notified when you attempt to play it).

You can also buy tickets for all kinds of lottery games via our Lotteries app, and play poker and take part in tournaments via our OK POKER app. Lastly, the Mise-o-jeu+ web allows you to place sports bets online.

Your game history is available in your account, under Account History. You can access the description and details of your games during 13 months. Games history of Supercubes, Chain Reactors and Chain Reactors 100 are available for 30 days. After that, you can request Customer Service to provide you with all the information.

You should be able to access our entire catalogue of games, no matter what section you’re in.

However, if you previously selected a filter and never removed it, it may still be active. Go to each section of the website, and check under the “Filter By” feature. If a filter is selected, unselect it and you’ll be good to go!

If you won a prize of over $100,000 on lotoquebec.com, you must claim it in person at one of our locations. If this is the case, we will need to carry out certain checks, as is standard procedure. You can read more about this in Section 6.2.3 of the Specific Conditions of Use – Online Gaming.

When you registered for an account at lotoquebec.com, you consented to Loto-Québec publishing your name, region and photograph for advertising and promotional purposes. It’s one of the requirements for playing on our website. Among other things, this allows Loto-Québec to make the winners’ winnings known, as a matter of transparency.

In some cases, your stroke of luck may be mentioned on our website and intranet, on digital displays at some of our points of sale, on billboards, or other advertising displays, and on any other communication network, including social media.

As a winner, you’ll be treated to a personalized greeting by our customer service team. You may be required to participate in a photo shoot and a brief interview to share the story of your win. Photoshoot standards that you must observe:

  • Your face must be uncovered.
  • Overt theatrics are not permitted.
  • Loto-Québec may ask to see a valid piece of photo ID to confirm your identity.

If you refuse to comply with these standards, Loto-Québec may suspend payment of your prize.

It’s also possible that your testimony (as a winner) may be recorded as part of a short video. A copy of the photos and video, if any, will be provided to you. So you’ll be able to hold on to the memory of this moment for the rest of your life!

Some of the information you provide when you come to claim your prize will appear in a press release, which will then be shared with the media.

Good news: your winnings on lotoquebec.com are tax-free! This means that you don’t have to pay federal or provincial income tax on a prize that you’ve won. However, you may need to pay taxes on any income (interest or other) that the money generates.

Tax laws are complex. Tax rates can vary depending on the circumstances of each individual and the types of investments they own. If you win a prize online, you may want to consult a tax specialist, or an agent from Revenu Québec or from the Canada Revenue Agency.

Don’t worry, we can help you out!

Before you can close your account, your balance must be $0. Therefore, you’ll need to withdraw any money left over in your account. If you still haven’t added your banking information in order to make a withdrawal, complete the steps covered in the answer to the question, “How do I add, edit or delete my bank account information in order to make a withdrawal from my Espacejeux account?”

To be able to close your account, you can’t have any games in progress either. To check that you don’t, go to the “Games in Progress” page in your account, and follow the instructions there to finish those games. For more information, read the answer to the question “How can I finish a game in progress (i.e. a game that I started)?”

Once you’ve done those two things, you’ll be able to close your account. For assistance, please call us at 1-866-611-5686.

Some financial institutions have policies that allow them to charge cash advance and/or transaction fees; Loto-Québec has no control over this. These policies vary from one institution to another. We invite you to contact yours for more information.

For a deposit to be accepted, your debit card has to have the Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit logo on it.

If your debit card doesn’t have one of these logos, you can choose the Interac option to make your deposit. Note that this option is only available to RBC Royal Bank and TD Canada Trust customers.

The supplier name (some financial institutions use the expression “payee”) is “Espacejeux (Loto-Québec)”. You’ll find your account number in the Account Details page.

No, there are no fees when you use this deposit method.

You haven’t lost any money! It may be that the amount of money you deposited exceeds your weekly deposit limit. If it does, please note that the surplus will be redeposited in your bank account. Make sure that your banking information is saved in your Espacejeux account. If that’s not the case, please read our answer to the “How do I save, edit or delete my bank account information in order to make a withdrawal from my Espacejeux account?” question. It’ll tell you what to do.

For a better understanding, consider this example:

  • Today is Thursday. The weekly deposit limit is valid from Sunday at midnight to the following Saturday at 11:59 p.m.
  • On Thursday, you deposit $25 in your Espacejeux account. Your weekly deposit limit is set to $40.
  • You log in to your Espacejeux account and see that only $20 has been posted to your account, rather than $25.
  • You start to worry that, somehow, you lost $5.
  • You check your Espacejeux account again and remember that you made a $20 deposit a few days prior, i.e. this past Sunday.
  • You then realize that you tried to deposit $45 in one week, which is $5 above your weekly limit.
  • The $5 surplus will be redeposited in your bank account.

Find out how to do the following:

Add your bank account information

Before beginning, make sure you have your debit card or online banking information on hand.

Important: The name associated with your bank account must be exactly the same as the one that appears in your Espacejeux account. If it isn’t, you may not be able to add your bank account information.

Step 1
In your Espacejeux account, click on the “My Espacejeux” icon, then on “Withdrawals.”

Step 2
Next, click on “Register a bank account.” You’ll be redirected to our partner’s page where you can check your bank details. Don’t worry, this is entirely safe.

If you’d like to watch our tutorial to see the next steps before continuing, simply click on “Watch tutorial.” You’ll be redirected to our YouTube page.

Step 3
Select your banking institution from the list. We’ve used a fictitious bank as an example.

Step 4
Enter your username or debit card number (the information requested depends on the financial institution) and password you use to log in to your financial institution’s website.

Click on “Submit.”

Before going any further, don’t forget to read the Terms and Conditions and check the box to confirm you’ve done so.

Step 5
Answer the security question linked to your bank account, and click “Continue.”

You may not be asked the security question. It depends on the financial institution.

Step 6
Once you’re logged in to your financial institution, you’ll be able to choose from the accounts that you have. Only chequing or savings accounts (personal or joint) can be used for withdrawals.

Choose the account you want and click on “Continue.”

Step 7
Success! Your bank account information has been added.

You can now withdraw any amount of money you want, depending on the balance available.

Edit your bank account information

If you have a pending withdrawal request, you won’t be able to edit your bank account information until the request has been processed.

Step 1
In your Espacejeux account, click on the “My Espacejeux” icon, then on “Withdrawals.”

Step 2
Then click on “Edit.”

Step 3
You’ll be able to add your new bank account information by clicking on “Change your bank account information.”

If you’d like to watch our tutorial to see the next steps before continuing, simply click on “Watch tutorial.” You’ll be redirected to our YouTube page.

Then follow Steps 3 to 7 in the “Add your bank account information” section.

Delete your bank account information

If you have a pending withdrawal request, you won’t be able to remove your bank account until the request has been processed.

Step 1
In your Espacejeux account, click on the “My Espacejeux” icon, then on “Withdrawals.”

Step 2
Click on “Delete.”

Step 3
A confirmation message will appear. Clicking “Remove” will delete your bank account information. Clicking “Cancel” will take you back to the “Withdrawals” page.

Even if you don’t do online banking, you can still make a withdrawal. Here’s how.

Please note that this option is for people who don’t do online banking.
The verification time with this option is about five days.

Before beginning, please make sure you have a void personal cheque and your banking information on hand.

Important : The name on your void cheque must be exactly the same as the one that appears in your Espacejeux account. If it isn’t, you may not be able to add your bank account information. Your void cheque also has to have your name printed on it. A void cheque with your name handwritten on it or bearing someone else’s name won’t be accepted.

Step 1
In your Espacejeux account, click on the “My Espacejeux” icon, then on “Withdrawals.”

Step 2
Click on “Not set up for online banking?”

Step 3
Fill in the fields with the information that’s on your void cheque, then click “Next.”

Step 4
Take a clear picture of your void cheque using a smartphone or tablet, or scan it.

Make sure your cheque is clearly identified with your full name and has “void” or “specimen” handwritten across it. If your name has been handwritten, the cheque won’t be accepted.

Next, save the photo or scanned version of your void cheque to your computer and rename the file, if you wish. Be sure to save the void cheque in a valid format. Accepted file formats are: PDF, JPG, PNG, JPEG and PJPEG.

Then click on “Select file to upload.”

Step 5
Make sure you’ve selected the right document. If everything is in order, click on “Send” to submit your void cheque. Otherwise, delete it by clicking on the “X,” and repeat Step 4.

Step 6
Almost done! You’ll receive an email as soon as your bank account has been linked to your Espacejeux account. You’ll then be able to withdraw any amount of money you want, depending on the balance available.

Please note: The option to send a void cheque will cease to be available until your bank account has been linked to your Espacejeux account. However, the “Register a bank account” option will still be available.

If you don’t have a cheque, or a cheque with your full name printed on it, visit your bank’s website for instructions on how to get one. It’s quick and easy to do!

No. You can only use a bank account that belongs to you to make withdrawals from your Espacejeux account. The name associated with your bank account must match the name that appears in your Espacejeux account (the names must be written the same).
An example:

If the names don’t match, your account registration will be denied.

Banking transactions can take anywhere from three to five business days to process. For your peace of mind, please keep the confirmation email you received when you made your withdrawal request.

A win from a Free Bet wager gets you real money. Free bets are usually used to play bingo and casino games. The website lotoquebec.com is Loto-Québec’s official, legal and secure online gaming site. For more information, see our 10 good reasons for choosing lotoquebec.com.

In Canada, provincial governments can offer lottery games and online games only through their official operator (like Loto-Québec in Québec), and must take the necessary steps to ensure that their products are only offered in their respective jurisdictions and to players who are physically there when they play the games. Thus, by requiring that players be in Québec when they play on lotoquebec.com, Loto-Québec is simply complying with its legal obligations.

Persons registered for lotoquebec.com agree to refrain from playing games when outside the province of Québec.

When players log in, we check their location (via their IP address or geolocation) to ensure that those who are accessing their account are physically present in Québec.

If you are in Québec, and get this message anyway, it may be because your location service is disabled. You can enable it by completing the following steps, based on your web browser:

Computer/laptop:

Phone:

If your location service is enabled, and you’re still not able to log in, please call our customer relations team at 1-866-611-5686. They’ll help you check and determine your computer’s or phone’s IP address.

For Apple devices (iPhone, iPad) using iOS, go to:

Be sure that Location Services is enabled. In the same screen, share your location for your browser (e.g., Safari Websites). The setting Allow location access must be set at While Using the App or at Always.

For devices using Android, go to:

Be sure that the option is enabled.

Although other web browsers and older operating systems may allow you to browse lotoquebec.com, some features of the website may not work and some information may not be displayed. The lotoquebec.com databases record the correct outcomes generated by our games and Loto-Québec relies on this record in the event of any dispute.

The lotoquebec.com website therefore only supports modern, up-to-date operating systems and browsers offering new capabilities that provide improved security and performance.

The web browser can sometimes display outdated information from the cache or not load properly. This is one of the main reasons why players experience issues when browsing on lotoquebec.com.

If you’re having issues browsing on lotoquebec.com or logging in to your account, you may need to clear your web browser’s cache. The cache is a group of temporary Internet files that are saved onto your computer’s hard drive by most websites that you visit.

So make sure that your web browser’s cache is cleared. How to clear your browser’s cache depends on the web browser you’re using:

Your browser may also store temporary Internet files if you’ve added lotoquebec.com to your bookmarks or favourites. In your browsing history, delete only the temporary Internet files and cookies.

It’s the maximum amount of money that you’re willing to deposit in your account for seven days (Sunday to Saturday). You’re under no obligation to deposit that amount every week if you don’t want to. Your account won’t automatically be debited every week. The deposit limit just helps you stay within your budget and play responsibly.

Setting a deposit limit is a mandatory requirement for everyone. Keep in mind that you can change your deposit limit at any time. If you raise it, your new limit will come into effect 24 hours later (you can increase it only once per week). If you lower it, your new limit will come into effect immediately.

It’s the maximum amount of time that you’re willing to spend gambling on our website over a given period. You can set yourself a time limit per day, per week or per month. However, you’re under no obligation to play for that length of time.

The time limit is there to help you respect the maximum amount of time that you’ve allowed yourself to play over a given period. You can also set a time limit for more than one given period. It’s up to you!

Some examples:

  • You can set a limit of one hour of gambling per day. If you play for more than one hour in a day, you’ll get a message informing you that you’ve reached your limit. You’ll be able to play for another hour the next day, starting with your first bet or purchase. If you don’t play for a full hour on a given day, the remaining time will not be carried over to the other days of the week.
  • You can set a limit of 7 hours of gambling time per week, which means that your 7 hours will be spread out over the week. Meaning, you choose how long you want to play. If you spend your 7 hours of gambling time within the first two days, you’ll get a message informing you that you’ve reached your limit as soon as you attempt to make a new bet or purchase. And you won’t be able to play any more games until the following week.
  • You could, for example, set a limit of 2 hours of gambling time a day and 7 hours a week. You’ll get to decide how to divide your 7 hours during the week, while limiting yourself to a maximum of 2 hours a day. If you don’t play at all during the week and want to play your 7 hours on Saturday, you’ll be blocked after 2 hours. Even if you still have 5 hours of gambling time left for the week, your daily limit will prevent you from continuing to play.

Setting a time limit is optional and will apply to all games on our website, with the exception of poker, lottery games and Mise-o-jeu+.

Keep in mind that you can change your time limit at any time. If you raise it, your new limit will come into effect 48 hours later. If you lower it, your new limit will come into effect immediately.

It’s the maximum amount of money that you’re willing to lose while gambling over a given period (day, week or month), based on your initial balance over that same period. Any winnings you earn during this period will not be included in your loss limit.

If you reach your limit, depositing money will not allow you to bet again.

An example:

  • You’ve set a loss limit of $50 a day. Your weekly deposit limit is set at $150. You deposit $100, so your balance at the beginning of the day is $100. As long as your balance doesn’t reach $49, you’ll be able to play. Your winnings will allow you to play even if you bet more than $50 in one day. If you reach a balance of $49, depositing another $50 will not allow you to continue playing. You’ll be able to deposit $50, but won’t be able to use it until the next day.

Think of it as going to the casino with $50 in your pocket, with no bank cards on you, because that’s how much you can afford to lose, not more. If you win some money, you’re free to gamble it again or not. The important thing is that if you spend your $50 loss limit, you won’t be able to play anymore because you have no money left.

Keep in mind that you can change your loss limit at any time. If you raise it, your new limit will come into effect 48 hours later. If you lower it, your new limit will come into effect immediately.

Setting a deposit limit for yourself is mandatory, as it ensures that you’re gambling online within your budget.

You can set limits on the amount of time and money you spend gaming.

1. Log in to your lotoquebec.com account.

2. Click on the Espacejeux account icon, then Manage My Gaming.

3. Click on Gaming Limits.

There are three types of limit you can set:

Deposit limit

This is the maximum amount of money that you can deposit in your Espacejeux account every week (from Sunday to Saturday).

You were required to set a weekly deposit limit when you opened your account. However, you can change it at any time. Here’s how:

  • Enter the new amount you want to set in the provided field.

    Important:
    – You don’t have to deposit that amount every week.
    – That amount will not automatically be withdrawn from your account.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Update.

Time limit

This is the maximum length of time that you’re willing to play over a set period of time. This includes the time played with real money and in demo mode. How to set or change this limit:

  • Click on the box(es) that correspond to the time limits you want to set or change (daily and/or weekly and/or monthly).
  • Enter the duration in the corresponding field (the field you select will change from grey to white).
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Update.

Loss limit

This is the maximum amount of money that you’re willing to lose over a set period of time. How to set or change this limit:

  • Click on the box(es) that correspond to the spending limits you want to set or change (daily and/or weekly and/or monthly).
  • Enter the amount in the corresponding field (the field you select will change from grey to white).
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Update.

If you have decreased your playing time, deposit or spending limits, your request will take effect immediately. However, if you have increased your playing time or spending limits, the change will take effect 48 hours after your request is made. If you have raised your weekly deposit limit, the change will take effect after 24 hours.

It’s when you choose to take a break from gambling online. It can be a one-time break or a recurring break. You choose.

You must choose a day (e.g. Thursday), time slot (e.g. from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and duration (e.g. from January 2 to February 2). When you take a break from gambling, access to your Espacejeux account is blocked for the length of time you chose. You won’t be able to access your account, even if it’s to view lottery draw results.

Some examples of breaks that you could take:

  • One-time: One weekend, from 6 p.m. on Friday to 8 a.m. on Monday.
  • One-time: The whole month of March, i.e. from March 1 to 31.
  • Recurring: Every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., from February 25 to April 1.
  • Recurring: Every Wednesday from noon to 4 p.m. and every Sunday from 7:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., from March 3 to May 30.

It’s important to note that once you’re set to take a one-time or recurring break from gambling, you cannot cancel it. You’ll be blocked from accessing your account until the break is over, no exceptions.

No, a gaming timeout request is irrevocable.

It’s a program that bars you from accessing your Espacejeux account for however long you choose (this can range from three months to five years). Enrolling in the program is easy, free, confidential and irrevocable, meaning that it can’t be reversed.

Once you opt in to the program, you’ll stop receiving promotional emails from our online gaming team (if you were subscribed to them) for the full duration of your enrollment in the program and for the next 12 months if you choose to reopen your account thereafter.

If you’d like to self-exclude from our gaming website, go to the “Manage My Gaming” section of your Espacejeux account and click on “Self-Exclusion.” For assistance, please call us at 1-866-611-5686.

Nothing can be done. Self-exclusion requests are irrevocable.

The difference between the two lies mainly in the length of time the player wants to stop gambling.

A break can be from 1 to 89 days long, while self-exclusion can last from 3 months to 5 years.

What’s more, if you choose to self-exclude, the money you’ve left in your account will automatically be refunded to you if we have your banking information. If this isn’t the case, a cheque will be sent to you to the mailing address listed in your Espacejeux account, as stated in the Specific Conditions of Use – Online Gaming.

On the other hand, if you choose to take a break from gambling, any money left over will remain in your account, unless you decide to withdraw it.

Please note that taking a break from gambling and self-excluding are both voluntary measures that aim to mitigate the negative effects of problem gambling on both the player and the people around them.

We provide you with a number of tools to help you develop good gambling habits. For example, you can:

  • set limits related to deposits, gaming time and losses;
  • plan breaks from gambling;
  • view your account history to see the financial and gambling transactions you’ve made in previous months (your withdrawals, deposits, winnings, wagers, etc.).

We also offer:

  • an on-screen message that appears after every hour of gambling, reminding you of how much time you’ve spent on our website and how much money you’ve gambled;
  • a self-exclusion program, which bars access to your account for however long you choose;
  • a wealth of additional information on the agameshouldremainagame.com website.

It is useful to evaluate your gaming behaviour in order to ensure that gaming remains a pastime. We have a number of available free tools that foster responsible gaming, including the test your gambling habits, and we do inform you about gaming-related risks.

The numbers are marked automatically by the computer by default. You may deactivate this function; however, should your card be a winner and you forgot to mark one or several numbers, you would still receive the matching prize.

Yes, there are two ways to do so. You can use “autobuy” or “pre-buy” buttons. Autobuy enables you to purchase cards for up to 10 consecutive games during an ongoing gaming session that begins upon confirmation of your purchase. Pre-buy enables you to purchase cards up to two weeks prior to the start of the game in which you wish to take part. Note that free bingo and games generated by special promotions might not be available for pre-buy.

No. When using the “pre-buy” button, the amount of your wager is removed from your account as soon as the transaction is confirmed (however, the wager is refunded if the game is cancelled). Cards obtained using the pre-buy feature may not be changed, cancelled or refunded. When you use the autobuy feature, the amount of the wager is removed from your account as soon as the game goes on sale. However, games can be cancelled as long as they have not yet gone on sale.

Yes. Just click on the cards you wish to buy. Then click on “BUY TICKETS”

The prize to which you are entitled will still be awarded to you in accordance with the terms indicated in Espacejeux.com Specific Conditions of Use. The outcome of a game may be validated under the Account History tab in the My Account section. You may even watch the game using the Replay option.

It’s easy! Once you’re logged in to your account, follow these steps.

Step 1
Click on the My Espacejeux icon, then on “Games in Progress.”

Step 2
When the page opens, you’ll see a list of your games in progress from the Casino section of the website. Select the game that you’d like to finish, then click on “Play.” As you can see, only one game is in progress in the example below.

Step 3
Next, the game will open and you’ll be able to finish it. If you have other games in progress, you may want to finish them too.

Step 4
Once you’ve finished all the games you had in progress, go back to the “Games in Progress” page. You’ll no longer see any games there, but you should check that you don’t have any games from the Instants section in progress. To do so, click on the link entitled “this other page.”

Step 5
You’ll be redirected to the Instants section so you can finish the games you started, as shown in Step 2. As you can see, there are no instant games in progress in the example below.

And there you have it! Now you know how to finish any games you had in progress.

If you have trouble finishing your games in progress, please call our customer relations team at 1-866-611-5686.

On the home page or on a sport’s page, click on the number that is preceded by “+” at the bottom right-hand corner of the desired event.

Odds are given for each prediction. They are used to determine the potential return on your bet.

A selection’s potential return is the amount of your wager multiplied by each of the odds associated with your predictions (ex: 1st odds X 2nd odds X wager = Potential return), subject to the Dead Heat Rule.

To calculate the potential return on a single bet, simply multiply the odds associated with your prediction by the amount of your wager, subject to the Dead Heat Rule.

To win a bet, all the predictions of a selection must be accurate.

Single-bet questions don’t have to be combined with another prediction for you to register your selection. Only questions marked by a may be played as single bets.

Due to certain constraints of the Criminal Code, not all questions may be offered as single-bet questions. You must therefore generally make at least 2 predictions in order to register a bet.

Two types of questions can be played as single bets: those relating to more than one event and those that combine two questions in one. For example, “Winning Margin” requires a prediction on the winner of the match AND on the number of goals by which the match will be won.

To register a single bet, you must first identify the questions marked with a in the betting offer. When a prediction on a question offered as a single bet is added to your betslip, a white box will appear directly below it for you to indicate the amount you’d like to bet.

Indicate the amount of your wager and confirm your bet by clicking the Place Bet button at the bottom of the betslip.

It’s possible that a selection cannot be registered because the sales limit for that selection or for a given prediction has been reached.

Other prediction combinations may also be prohibited if there is a correlation between them, i.e. the predictions for a given selection are related, have an impact on one another or are contradictory.

Example: For a Montréal vs. Boston match, you can’t combine the question, “What will be the final score of the game?” and the question, “Who will win the game?” because if the prediction “Montréal will win the game 3 to 1” came to be, it means that the prediction “Montréal will win” would necessarily occur as well. Conversely, if the prediction “Montréal will win the game 3 to 1” came to be, it would be impossible for the prediction “Boston will win” to occur as well.

With Mise-o-jeu, odds have always been offered using the decimal format. However, some prefer to use the American format or the fractional format. The new Mise-o-jeu+ website allows players to choose their preferred format.

You can change the odds format in the settings section in the drop-down menu below the sports list in the left-hand.

Decimal format

With the decimal format, you must multiply the odds by the amount of your wager to calculate your potential return. The lowest odds have the highest likelihood of occurring.

American format

If the American format is negative, it indicates the amount you must bet in hopes to make a profit of $100. If it’s positive, it indicates the profit you could make on a $100 amount wager. Therefore, the favourite is always displayed with a negative value while the underdog has a positive value.

For example, with odds of -110, in hopes to make a profit of $100, you must bet $110. With odds of +110, if you bet $100, you can hope to make a profit of $110. For example, for a winning prediction with odds of +110, you will make $110 (profit) + $100 (bet) = $210 (potential return).

Fractional format

In this format, the numerator represents the profit to be made for the bet shown in the denominator. For example, with odds of 1/5, for every $5 bet, you could make a $1 profit, for a potential return of $6 ($5 bet + $1 profit). Similarly, with odds of 4/1, you could make a profit of $4 on a $1 bet if your bet wins, for a potential return of $5 ($1 bet + $4 profit).

This tab allows you to change certain options. If you check the Confirm Bets Before Placing box, the betslip will ask you for a confirmation before registering your bets. If this box is unchecked, your bets will be registered as soon as you press the Place Bet button.

If you check the Always Accept Odds, Spread or Total Changes box, you will not be notified if the odds, the spread or the total for any of the predictions in your betslip change before you register your selection. This box is not checked by default.

1. Match or event winner

You must predict the winner of the event.

Match or event winner with 2 outcomes

For questions offered with only 2 outcomes, the results are determined by including overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other if applicable. If, however, the event ends in a draw, the predictions on such question shall be void and cannot be part of a winning selection.

For example, in hockey, you bet on the team who you think will win the match, following overtime periods and shootouts if applicable.

Match or event winner with 3 outcomes

In the event that a “draw” outcome is also offered, the results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other, if applicable.

For example, in soccer, you bet on the team who you think will win the match or on a draw. In such case, the outcome of the match if determined at the end of regular time and by including, if applicable, any added injury or stoppage time, but by excluding extra time, penalty shootouts or golden goals.

2. Draw no bet

You must predict the winner of the event. Questions are offered with only 2 outcomes, and, unless otherwise stated, the results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts, or other, if applicable. If the event ends in a draw, the predictions on such question shall be void and cannot be a part of a winning selection.

3. Spread questions

You must predict the winner of the event by applying a given spread. For questions with spreads, Loto-Québec sets out in the Mise-o-jeu+ Betting offer a number (the spread) used to determine by how many goals (or points, strokes or other) a team or player must beat his opponent for a prediction to be accurate.

2-Way Sprea

For 2-way spread questions, 2 outcomes are offered. If the question’s outcome constitutes the exact spread sets out in the Mise-o-jeu+ Betting offer, any prediction related to the question shall be considered void and cannot be a part of a winning selection.

For example, for a 2-way spread question on a US football match, the outcomes offered are “Team A +3” and “Team B -3.” You make a prediction on “Team B -3.”

• Your prediction will be accurate if Team B wins the game with a margin of more than 3 points. • Your prediction will be lost and a prediction on Team A will be accurate if: (1) Team B wins the game by fewer than 3 points, (2) the game is a tie (draw), or (3) Team A wins the game. • If Team B wins with exactly 3 points, your prediction will be void.

Similarly, for a basketball match, the outcomes offered for the same type of question are “Team A -2.5” and “Team B +2.5.” You make a prediction on “Team B +2.5.”

• Your prediction will be accurate if: (1) Team B wins the game, (2) Team B loses the game by 2 points or less, or (3) the game is a tie (draw). • Your prediction will be lost and a prediction on Team A will be accurate if Team B loses the game by more than 3 points.

3-way Spread

For 3-way spread questions, a “draw” outcome is also offered.

For example, for a 3-way spread question, the outcomes offered are “Team A -2”, “Team B +2” and “Draw -2”.

• You make a prediction on “Team A -2.” Your prediction will be accurate if Team A wins the game by 3 goals or more. • You make a prediction on “Draw -2.” Your prediction will be accurate if Team A with a-2 spread wins the game with a difference of exactly 2 goals. • You make a prediction on “Team B +2.” Your prediction will be accurate if: (1) Team A loses the game, (2) the game is a tie (draw), or (3) Team A wins by 1 goal.

4. Total (over/under)

You must predict if the total number of points (or goals, runs, games, shots, minutes played, hits, rebounds, bases, strikeouts or other) scored during the event(s) specified in the question will be over, under or equal to (if an “exact” outcome is offered) the number sets out in the Mise-o-jeu+ Betting offer. Loto-Québec then determines the outcome of these questions based on whether the total number of points scored during the event(s) concerned is greater (+), lesser (-) or equal to the indicated number.

2-way total

For 2-way total questions, 2 outcomes are offered. If the question’s outcome constitutes the exact total set out in the Mise-o-jeu+ Betting offer, any prediction related to such question shall be considered void and cannot be part of a winning selection.

3-way total

For 3-way total questions, an “equal” or “exact” outcome is also offered.

5. Double chance

You must predict two of the three possible outcomes of an event in only one question. The following possible outcomes are offered:

• “Team A or Draw”: Your prediction will be accurate if Team A wins the match, or if the match ends in a tie. • “Team B or Draw”: Your prediction will be accurate if Team B wins the match, or if the match ends in a tie. • “Team A or Team B”: Your prediction will be accurate if Team A or Team B wins the match.

The results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other.

6. Winning margin

You must predict the winner of the event and the margin of points (or goals or other) by which the event will be won.

This is offered as a single-bet question.

7. Half-time/Final

You must predict which team will lead the event at halftime and the winner of the event. The results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other, if applicable. In baseball, half time is defined as the first 5 innings of a game.

This is offered as a single-bet question.

8. Race to X

You must predict which team or player will be the first to score the number of points (or goals, runs, games, corners or other) specified in the question during an event.

9. Highest scoring half/quarter/period

You must predict in which half (or quarter, period or other) of an event most points (or goals or other) will be scored.

10. Odd/Even

You must predict if the total number of goals (or points, runs or other) scored during the event will be an odd or even number. A score of zero (e.g. no goals are scored) is deemed to be an even number.

11. Correct scores

You must predict the score of both teams at the end of the event specified in the question. Unless otherwise stated, the results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other, if applicable.

If the score at the end of such event is not offered as an outcome for the question and the “Other” outcome is also not offered, any prediction on this question is deemed to be a loser.

This is offered as a single-bet question.

Unless otherwise specified, the Dead Heat Rule applies when a question’s outcome constitutes a tie between two or more players or teams and such an outcome is not offered for said question. In such case, the odds corresponding to your prediction on such individuals or teams will be divided by the number of players or teams tied.

However, if a question’s outcome constitutes a tie between all the players or teams having taken part in their “completed” event, any prediction relating to the question is considered void and cannot be a part of a winning selection.

Subject to the Cashout option, a selection cannot be modified or cancelled once it has been registered.

You can view the details of your bet by clicking on the arrow under the More column on the right¬hand side of the table.

Mise-o-jeu+ offers live betting, which means that you can bet on events while they are in progress. You will notice a short delay before your purchase is confirmed to allow the transaction to be processed.

When you make a live bet, the odds fluctuate depending on the evolution and progress of the match. The odds displayed in the betslip are adjusted in real time.

Yes, you can combine live bets with bets taken before the beginning of a match (“pre-game” bet) insofar as they aren’t correlated with each other.

When a question is marked with the symbol in the betting offer, the Cashout option may be offered, subject to applicable game rules. Cashout gives you the option to fully withdraw your bet before all the events of which it is composed are finished. You could thus cash out an amount corresponding to a portion of the amount of the potential return of your selection.

Note that all predictions in your selection must be eligible for a cashout in order for you to potentially take advantage of it. However, if you have used Free Bets to make your bet, you will not be offered a Cashout option.

The Cashout tab in the betslip displays the cashout possibilities applicable to the selections already purchased. The possibilities are offered in real time and vary among other things depending on the course of a given event. In addition, this option can disappear or reappear depending on the probabilities of achieving each outcome.

When offered on one of your selections, the Cashout option gives you the option to withdraw your bet and cash out an amount between $0.01 and the amount of the potential return of your selection.

For example, if you’re on track to win your bet, but you feel your teams are losing momentum, the Cashout option allows you to fully withdraw your bet and cash out the portion of the amount of the potential return offered at that time.

On the other hand, if a game isn’t starting off nearly as well as you’d hoped, you can withdraw your bet and cash out an amount between $0.01 and the amount of your initial bet. That way, you won’t lose your entire initial bet.

No, only questions marked with the symbol in the betting offer may offer this option. All predictions in your selection must be eligible for a cashout in order for you to potentially take advantage of it and you must not have used a Free Bet when paying for your selection.

Depending on the course of a game, this option may disappear or reappear based on the probabilities of each outcome.

Loto-Québec may, at its discretion, make offers or promotions during which Free Bets are awarded. These offers or promotions can be limited to a specific event or several events at the same time, and are subject to certain conditions. To find out about current offers and promotions and the applicable terms, visit the Promotions section of the Mise-o-jeu+ website.

Once you are logged into your account, go to My Promotions page in the Promotions section at the top of the page.

When you can bet using Free Bets, you’ll see a drop-down menu with the words “Free Bet” appear below the box used to enter the amount of your wager. By clicking on the menu, you’ll see the Free Bets that can be applied to your selection. Choose the desired Free Bet.

At all times, you must use the entire value of the Free Bet. Therefore, you cannot just use part of it. Also, Free Bets can be used only on a single bet, a main combo or to bet on all selections of the same combo type.

It is possible to bet using both Free Bets and money. For example, if you’d like to make a $20 bet and you have a $5 Free Bet, enter $20 in the corresponding white box and then choose the 5$ Free Bet from the drop-down menu. Your account is then debited of 15$.

No, a Free Bet must be used in its entirety only on a single bet, on a main combo, or on all selections of a same type of combo (e.g. all “combos of 2” among the predictions that appear in the betslip).

No, Mise-o-jeu+ Free Bets are exclusive to Mise-o-jeu+.

You must use the entire value of the Free Bet. Therefore, you cannot just use part of it.

In the event a wager includes Free Bets, the Free Bet amount wagered is deducted from the potential return, and therefore, from the value of the winnings, if applicable.

Yes, it is possible to bet using both Free Bets and money.

It depends on the applicable terms. Sometimes, Free Bets can be used to bet on any event, and sometimes it can only be used to bet on a specific event or type of bet. The Free Bet’s applicable terms will be specified in the promotion’s rules or in the terms of the offer in question.

A combo is a bet that includes at least two uncorrelated individual predictions. For example, if you’d like to bet on the “Main Combo” that appears in the betslip, your selection will include all the predictions that you have chosen, insofar as they are uncorrelated. Also, depending on the number of predictions you have added to the betslip, other types of combos will be offered.

The betslip allows you to bet on all the combinations that can be generated from the predictions you’ve chosen. You can choose to bet a specific amount per combo or a total amount for a given type of combo.

Main combo: if you bet on the main combo, your selection will include all the predictions added to your betslip. It can consist of 2 to 8 predictions. Important note: None of your predictions must be correlated.

Other combos: depending on the number of predictions added to your betslip, you will be offered other types of combos. The number in brackets next to each of these combos represents the number of selections you need to buy if you choose this type of combo.

For example, if you select four uncorrelated predictions, the betslip will offer you, in addition to the “Main Combo,” “Combos of 2,” and “Combos of 3.” If you want to bet on all the “Combos of 2,” and therefore on all the possible selections of two predictions among those put in the betslip, you will have to buy 3 selections. If you have opted for the betslip to display the “Stake per Combo” and you indicate an amount of $3 in the stake box, your total wager will be $9, which is equivalent to $3 multiplied by three selections of two predictions.

Subject to the applicable game rules, a selection will win if all the predictions of the selection are accurate.

By default, the betslip will display “Stake per combo.” This will allow you to indicate in the corresponding white boxes the wager you’d like to bet per combo. For example, if you’d like to bet on all possible combos of 2, and so on all the possible selections of 2 predictions among those you added in the betslip, and you enter $3 in the stake box, your total wager will be $9 ($3 x three selections of 2 predictions).
